Douglas James Mann

The name of my fallen soldier is Douglas James Mann.
He was the son of George Albert and Reta Leone Mann of St Catharines, Ontario.
Douglas Mann was born on July 24,1923 and joined the army on July 16, 2943 …. just before his 20th birthday.
He was a trooper in the 1st Hussite, Canadian Armoured Corps Reinforcement Unit. His service number was B/134737.

Trooper Douglas J.Mann was killed in action on August 8, 1944 in Faubourg de Vaucelles, France. He was just 21 years old.
He is buried at the Beny-sur-Met Canadian Military Cemetery in Normandy, France.
His grave reference is XV.B.5.
